Engr. Rey Incorporado came and I had the chance to ask him about the distance of the grooving as well as those particular parts of the building which will be placed with grooving. He instructed me and provided with details of the areas to be placed with grooving tiles. He also suggested to tour us to inside Cebu Doctor’s University, just adjacent to the CDU Dormitory Project. We had a short tour inside CDU and experienced its modernized interior design which looked like a mall rather than a university. We got to see their two-court gymnasium, the 2000-seater theater, rooms and laboratories and their high mirror ceiling in the main entrance lobby. It was such a splendid experienced in such a reputable university.
The whole day was filled with the following tasks:
- Estimate Grooving. After the instructions and details given by Engr. Incorporado, the design consultant of the project, I edited the estimate of the grooving of three buildings. The estimated linear meter grooving was more or less 1,750 meters. It was way smaller than the previos estimated linear meter which was more or less 3000 meters. My estimate was subject to checking by the Site Engineer.
- Inspection on Building 2. I had another inspection on building 2 to report what was lacking for the Site Engineer to follow up what should be done since the rooms are subject for turn over. There were still minor details lacking which need further attention by the lead man. The lead man stated that he will accomplish everything the soonest possible time.
