The day started with the weekly meeting headed by the Senior Project Manager, with all the involved sub-contractors under the DCDC Management. The main discussion was regarding on the topics discussed from the meeting yesterday with the CDU Group. The Senior Project Manager also asked for possible room turnovers form the building I was assigned and the masonry sub-contractor explained for the cause of the delay. The masonry foreman stated that the rooms in the first level will be turned over withing the week or this coming Monday, May 19, 2008.

Some of the tasks were:

  • Preparation of Concrete Pouring Request. I was tasked to prepare the concrete pouring request of five areas to be poured. These were the stairs from ground floor to second floor in building 1, stairs from second floor to third floor in building 2, second lift of cistern tank along grid line A to C from grid line 2 to 3, cistern tank along grid line C to D from grid line 2 to 3, cistern tank along grid line E to F from grid line 2 to 3, roof beams along grid line A to D from grid line 1 to 2, and cistern tank along grid line F to G2 from grid line 2 to 3. I also prepared the plans and layouts to be attached in each respective CPR using the Autocad. The CPR was then signed by the involved sub-contractors.
  • Inspection on Building 2. I inspected the first level of building 2 to follow up for possible room turnovers and to observe if those lacking were already accomplished. Still, there were doors with incomplete plasters and were not yet smooth.

We had another visit in Robinland Project nearby where we observed the on-going excavation for the footings. The tower crane has been erected already. Sand bags were placed along the side of the project with adjacent buildings in order to provide safety to the adjacent buildings. Reinforcements has been placed and some are on the process of placing reinforcing bars for the footing. Some workers have started cutting the erected piles in order for them to start for the footing.
