The whole day was filled with the following tasks:
- Observe Leveling Using Layer Plane. Earlier, the masonry encountered a problem regarding the elevation of doors with respect to the elevation of the finish floor line. It came out that the height of the doors and windows in the first level of building 3 needs to be increased because there was a misunderstanding of the given dimension of the doors and the referred elevation. During the afternoon, a laser plane was set in order to level and mark the exact reference point. The laser plane was affixed to a tripod, mounted somewhere in the building and was activated. A receiver was placed on the door of the room to receive the signal. As the laser rotates rapidly, the worker who did the leveling tried to search the line where receiver and the laser plane coincides, which will be the basis of the reference for the elevation of the floor finish line.
- Inspection on Building 2. Due to the problem encountered on the elevation and heights of doors and windows, the rooms in the first level of building 2 were not turned over to the CDU Group by last Sunday, May 11, 2008. The masonry workers did a major alterations on the doors and windows on Saturday, causing the delay. I did an inspection on the building and observed that there were still few work to do. I made a summary and handed it to the lead man assigned in the area for him to have an idea which room lacks which.
- Preparation of Cistern Tank Plan. I was also tasked to provide photocopies of the revised Cistern Tank Plan. This was to be compiled as the DCDC’s copy for implementation, and another copy for documentation purposes.
